About Dhamma Cakka
Dhamma Cakka, meaning ‘Wheel of Dhamma’, is located 4.5 km from where the Buddha gave his first discourse Dhammacakkappavattana Sutta (Turning of the Wheel of the Dhamma) at the Deer Park. The exact spot marked by The Dhammeka stupa in the Deer Park, the Moolgandh Kuti Vihar with the paintings depicting the Buddha’s life and numerous monasteries established by various countries enhance the sacred atmosphere of the region. With its first course in September 2004, Dhamma Cakka offers two ten-day courses a month and also Satipatthana courses,10 days (Spl),30 days, 20 days courses.
